I really liked this presentation, it was a good and fun way to learn about the ways people react to things and how you can and should deal with things.
In session 1 the topic was Dealing with Stress. What i learned from that class was that Stress is our body's way of reacting to pressure, and ways to cope with stress, healthy and unhealthy ways.
In session 2 the topic was Stereotypes affects how a person is being treated by others. What i learned from that class was that stereotypes make people feel like they don't belong and don't want to be around the people who judge them.
In session 3 the topic was Impacts on shaping your views on relationships. What I learned from that class was that your parents have the biggest impacts in shaping your views of relationships, because you look at how their relationship is and then you think that, that is what all your relationships are going to be like.
In session 4 the topic was Healthy relationships. What I learned was that healthy relationships are when two people have equal authority in the relationship and they are happy.
In session 5 the topic was Active living skills. In this class we learned that we have to make eye contact while someone is talking to us and then summarize what they said.
In session 6 the topic was Abusive relationships. In this class we learned about help lines and things to do if you know or suspect that someone you know or you are in an abusive relationship. We learned what the signs are to look for in an abusive relationship.
In session 7 the topic was Supporting friends and relationship responsibilities. In this class I learned how to support a friend if they are having a bad week and how to deal with a problem that a friend has.
In session 8 the topic was Communication. In this class I learned how to speak assertively, passively, and aggressively. Assertively is speaking calmly so you can work it out and not have grudges against that person. Passively speaking is like you don't really want to be doing this and you don't sound very happy or anything. Aggressively speaking is very mean and rude and nobody will want to talk to you.
In session 9 the topic was How to Cope. I wasn't there.
In session 10 the topic was Peer pressure/ refusal skills- delay, refuse, negotiate. The skills we learned in this class are good to have so you know you can and how to say no or negotiate without having a problem.
In session 11 the topic was Healthy relationships. In this class I learned hoe someone might react if they get broken up with and what the good reactions are and the bad reactions are.
